I just purchased a bunch of MMA gear and it was such a great experience that I got to give the website some props. The website was very professional and easy to use, and I received my order real fast by mail. They had a great selection of MMA gear and apparel and their prices are awesome.

Jimmy is a new Team Balance purple belt!

Phil Migliarese came to my school yesterday in Pittsburgh for a gi seminar. It was GREAT. We worked some new stuff standing up, which even had the several Judo blackbelts in attendance raving. We then moved to another position that is often neglected; the Mount.

Phil explained that he has seen alot of guys lately, especially in MMA, having difficulty holding and escaping the mount. We went through several series of hold down to submissions, and a few slick escapes as well.

Jimmy's promotion was well deserved. We beat him up a little first, but even Phil was impressed with his technique and tenacity. Thanks to Phil for a great seminar, and thanks to my students for coming out! Team Balance Pittsburgh is growing bigger each month!

I don't really know what to say. I just know there's still a lot that I have to learn, but I'm more confident of reaching my goals now. Thanks guys especially Bobby for helping me out so much and Phil for putting on a great seminar!!! Smiley

Headparrot, who are you? I don't know (or forget - I'm terribly sorry for that) your real name, or where I rolled with you. Ya it has been 2.4 years since I started grappling. I'm not special. Sometimes it takes me a lot of drilling and help to learn something new HAHA. It is funny because I always expected purples to be so knowledgeable, but I know all of my mistakes. There is sooooo much to learn too... I train a lot, tho.

Now that you're a purple belt, does that mean we should expect to see more posts from you telling Justin Garcia (fellow hobbit himself) to mind his own business and stop telling people how to rep their JJ team?
