Josh Griffiths finally gets his man...
« on: November 29, 2007, 12:51:21 AM »
Forum member and all around weasel Josh Griffiths has finally succeeded at running Marcelo out NYC. The announcement was made Monday that Marcelo will no longer be teaching in NYC.  Greed and pride are two of the seven deadly sins for a good reason and Josh let them overcome his life.  I had found a great home at Studio X and learned more from Marcelo in his time there than in 10 years of BJJ.  It was very sad for everyone to hear him say he was going.

Josh if you read this I hope the guilt is eating you up inside and that you do the right thing and put friendships above money, power, control, pride and whatever else has caused you to stab some of your closest friends in the back.  As it stands now Josh has no honor or respect and I cannot imagine he will ever be successful teaching a martial art.

This thread has caused the resurrection of Multiple Forum Man.  As an internet poster with many years of experience on many discussion forums, Multiple Forum Man feels confident in predicting that this thread will generate 8000 posts (+ or - several thousand) in a relatively short period of time.

Additionally, many arguments and challenges will be made and lots of high and mighty talk about principles, ethics, Brazilians, money, and America will be posted by several members.

Multiple Forum Man will be watching carefully to see if anything causes Multiple Forum Man to raise an eyebrow.

I support Josh Griffiths 100% in all of his endeavors and wish him the best of luck. I have no statement on the drama, but Josh is a good guy and will be very successful in this sport.

Everyone has their own ethics, but someone who f*cks over their friends (without lubricant)  because they see a dollar sign is not a good person in mine. Josh is charming and charismatic. He is easy to like, and will be succesful in almost anything he does because he knows how to make people like him. I thought as you do, as most of josh's former friends. But a person is revealed by the choices they make. We've come to see he charisma is just egotism and his charm is a charade to get his way.

He is not a good guy, he is just very good at playing one.

I'm confused after reading that interview.  So who owns studio x in NYC. Is it Fabio or is it Josh?  If Josh is getting on Marcelo's nerve or has offended him shouldn't the brown belt leave instead of the multiple time mundial champion black belt?

Did he say where he is going? There are a few logical options but I was curious if he made an announcement. I would think either back to Fabio Gurgel's, out to LA with Babs, or maybe to Hermes new school.

The Migliarese Bros. are behind Josh %100.... He is the man.
He is going to be the new God of Jiu-Jitsu in NYC ....

Let this be heard!

Also,  His rates are absolutely affordable!

And Oh, don't let that brown belt fool you either...... He will be a Pam American Champion in the Black Belt Division too.

"maybe a blurry pic of Marcello packing his bags?"

Thats a low blow- only 20% of my pics are blurry.

Marcelo is the man.  Nobody is running him out of any city, he just had to split ways with Studio X.

I'm sure he'll make an announcement in the next 4 weeks concerning what he'll be doing.

Wow, another vague statement. He is parting ways with StudioX, got it. He is doing his own thing and needs to do more mma training, got it. Is he pating ways with StudioX and Staying in NYC or is he parting ways and moving on? Sorry, I am confused by the nobody is running him out of town part. Also, is he done teaching there now or is he still teaching there for the next couple weeks until he moves on?
