Have revised the geekery, now includes any guys who have won 2 or more golds at any of the major competitions (for the records i could get hold of):

    -CBJJ Mundials (1996 - 2008)
    -CBJJO Copa Do Mundo (2002 - 2006)
    -CBJJE Mundials (2008).

Think it is right, let me know if you spot any errors.

That's a cool diagram. You start to realize what a stud Xande is after looking at that...

Check Saulo again, I'm pretty sure he won the Absolute one year in the finals against Dada.

Cool list. I'm assuming that is based on the Mundials and not the World Cup. Some guys, Ricardo Veira for example, have won the World Cup many times as a black belt.

Robson won 8 times if you count the Copa do Mundo (CBJJO World Cup) which was considered a second world by some. J-Sho's list is for CBJJ. I always thought it was kind of a shame that erveyone didn't either do both tournaments all back one so it was a legit world championship. There were some big names absent from both which always left questions in my mind. That is a kick ass list though. It would make a nice database, you could include CBJJO and have a filter put on it to narrow down the search...thanks for putting it together J-Sho.  Thumbs Up

amazingly he only won the Mundials once.

Will try to put the CBJJO and perhaps CBJJE in their too. Will have to use the web archive since the CBJJO site went down last time i checked.

good spot, put it down in the wrong section, yes he took 3rd in open, not weight.

Did recheck, 2 time runner up. No idea who Dada is? but there have been 13 winners since 1996 and they are all accounted for.
