Do you know what Marcelo will be covering at this seminar? As awesome as his x-guard stuff is, I'm not interested in learning it right now, but if he's going over his guillotines or taking the back I'm all over this.

he usually shows what he is doing these days - guillotine, omoplata stuff , crucifix, rolling the elbow control and these days mount. that said i don't know what he will show although he usually focuses on top positions, passing and subs from top on one day and stuff from bottom on the other day. i have never taken a class or seminar from marcelo and not learned something that completely changed my understanding of jiu jitsu

Agreed, you'll learn things immediately and you will learn other things and not realize it until days or weeks later when it clicks. I was at a nogi class at his place where he didn't even go over any techniques that day, just drills, positional work and then sparring. He stopped and explained a couple things to me during sparring that probably helped me more than any moves he would have showed me that night. Those are the things that keep me so into this sport. When you have been doing this sport for years and someone can change your entire perception of the sport with one sentence it kind of blows your mind and makes you feel like it's your first day on the mat. I can't recommend this seminar enough.

Flying up for a seminar when you have a torn ACL should be a good indication to everyone of how good Marcelo's seminars are. Speak volumes about the seminars and how hardcore SubmissionFytr is.  Wink
