Great to have you posting here.

O.K.  Here's my question:

If you could change one or more CBJJ rules regarding competition, what rules would you change and why?

For example:  The turtle position should constitute a guard and reversals from the turtle should be awarded 2 points because.....

(FYI:  This question was not intended to put you in an awkward spot with the CBJJ.  Establishing the rules will always be difficult and you will never make everyone happy with the results.  I think the CBJJ has done a pretty good job.  I'm just curious as to what you think should be changed, if anything.)

in your opinion to get better at jiujitsu in the shortest amount of time, is it better to drill a single move for a week at a time, or for the instructor to introduce a new move every class?

As someone who has spent significant time training and teaching in both the US and Brazil, what are you thoughts on the level of Jiu-Jitsu instruction and training in the US vs Brazil (Gi and No-Gi).  That is, do you feel there is a considerable gulf between the level of instruction and training between Brazilian and US schools?

Thank you for your time.

in your opinion, did eddie bravo "invent" the rubber guard? or was it always there, and he just used it a  lot and came up with a buch of moves that only really flexible people can do?

What's up Robert. I think you should go over your thoughts on passing the Half guard. You pass right through my bottom half and talk about hand placement in bottom half. Also you should be happy your not in South Dakota anymore its -40 below and my car is an ice box!

Welcome, thanks for joining. I went to your Brasa seminar in Atlanta last year and was really impressed with how involved you were in people learning and answering every question that was asked of you, even after the seminar was finished and people were trying to get you out of there.

My questions are:

What is the current state of Brasa? I know that the Vieria's have their team, Galvao, Mendes Bros, and Bruno Frazzato have their team, and now that you and Maia are focusing on MMA, who is the team made up of? Thanks, I hope to see you do well in ADCC this year.

What goes through your head before a competition?  From the night before too the second before your match?

Do you stay calm? do you pump yourself up? do you clear your head? or are you thinking about positions?...ect

Thanks Robert

My question is with all of that BJJ knowledge that is crammed in Xtreme Couture right now, what move  or transition have you discovered or been shown at the gym that has helped you game MMA wise or BJJ wise.
