    excerpt:
That massive screen looks big enough to be the full on 4.3 inches, and the specs show it running at 800x480. (And, dayum, it makes the 3.6-inch screen on the Touch Pro 2 look small!) Also on board is 512MB storage memory and 320MB RAM. The Qualcomm 8520B Snapdragon processor indeed is running at 1GHz.

My wife is ordering the HTC Touch Pro 2 as I type this...  sucker.

Didnt sprint recently get pwned in a big time class action suit for screwing their customers?  Also, the "Pre" and the "g1" are shameless iPhone knockoffs

Have you seen either of them?  Both are completely new operating systems built from the ground up. What does WebOS or Android steal from the iPhone?
Correct me if you're wrong, but they're all based on linux... hosers.

Yes, and the iPhone operating system is also UNIX derived.

    RETAIL BITCHES!!!!!
    Hardware

Without even turning on the device you can tell there is something special about the HTC HD2. The device is a large black slab, but is thin at only about 3/8ths of an inch. It feels dense and a bit hefty, but like I have mentioned before I personally like devices that have good heft and density to them. The back metal battery cover is sleek and feels cool to the touch. It is surrounded by soft touch coated panels giving your a smooth touch. The edges of the protruded camera lens are a bit sharp so watch out for scratching wood tables if you try to slide it around. The 3.5mm headset jack and microUSB ports on the bottom melt into the device with excellent transitions. There is nothing along the right side or top as minimalization lends itself to elegance on the HD2. There are five bottom hardware buttons below the massive 4.3 inch 800×480 resolution capacitive display for send, end, home, Start, and back. The lovely display is capacitive and responsive, thanks in part to the 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

    Nphocus,

I picked up my Touch Pro 2 about two weeks ago.

The TouchFlo 3D interface has more screens between itself and the standard Windows Mobile interface which is great.  The screen is significantly larger (bigger than the iPhone) and the speakerphone is the best I have ever used on a mobile phone.  I am using it with Sprint and the new Navigation software is also very impressive.

Greatest single gadget I have ever owned (the Archos Media Tablet is better, but I bought that for someone else hence it's not actually mine).

My wife got the touch pro 2 a couple of weeks ago on verizon's service.  The speakerphone is mediocre in terms of volume.  My samsung Jack and samsung i760 are both MUCH louder.  The interface is nice.  The screen is nice.  The response when opening and switching between apps is nice.  It's a solid iphone w/windows mobile and it has a full keyboard.

That touch pro HD though is all that and just a bit more.  I think the pro 2 has a 3.7 inch screen.  The HD has a 4.3 inch screen.  The 2 has a fast 800mhz cpu, the HD has a 1ghz cpu.  They both have decent MP cameras.  The HD ups the screen resolution significantly.  They both have expandable storage and support up to 32GB microsd cards.  I have an upgrade that I've been sitting on with verizon for over 6 months now, waiting for something like this or the Omnia II to come out.  I want a phone that will hold 60GB of data and play HD content naively... if it can stream it to a TV, all the better.

I also want one of the new 12" asus netbooks:
    http://www.asus.com/News.aspx?N_ID=y380KY9gL40QypTj
If you have to have a netbook, get one with the nVidia ION chipset.  HD HDMI video all day and all night.

    Dell Mini5 running Android OS

    Must have phone.

    http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/11/dell-mini-5-we-have-it/

5-inch 800x480 touchscreen, Android 1.6, 1GHz CPU (presumably Snapdragon, as revealed by the teardown), WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G of some sort, 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, front-facing camera, and the same 1530mAh battery as the one in the teardown.

    http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/09/leaked-dell-mini-5-flyer-shows-multitude-of-color-options-confi/

There's no denying that the Mini 5 is real, but up until now, we've had to provide all of our own promotional material. At long last, it seems as if the suits in Round Rock are finally getting around to crafting the first advertisements for the upcoming slate, and while we knew about the 5-inch WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, capacitive touch front buttons, front-facing VGA camera (for video chatting) and the 30-pin docking connector, we weren't aware of Dell's plans to reveal a slew of vivacious color options. If this here flyer proves legitimate, we could eventually see the Mini 5 available in an array of premium finishes and hues (thanks, Design Studio!), and we're hoping for a few different spec builds as well. So, are you opting for the pink, or are you crossing your fingers in hopes that Dell allows you to print that embarrassing shot of you and Mr. T on the rear of one?

Update: Oh, snap! We just landed a few more official slides from an internal Dell document, and it's safe to say that the company is going to call this beauty the Streak. Or, at least that's the internal codename. Better still, it looks as if it'll launch with an Amazon content partnership, which will bring a Kindle e-book reader app, Amazon MP3, Amazon video streams and pretty much any other material that Amazon sells in digital form right to the slate. C'mon now -- how's about a ship date and a price?

Not when it lets the phone output to an HDMI equipped dock and play HD videos...  Btw, don't you have an iphone, Mr Proprietary connector?

No. I dislike anything that doesn't use dime a dozen mini-usb cables, and hate faggy Apple products tied into horrible proprietary music stores. Decent touch screen internet browsers and useless programs are available on most phones these days. There is more or less no reason to buy an iphone anymore, except to double check the address of the guy from craigslist you're about to get AIDS from.
