What would you suggest as a comparable subsitute for Gut Health? Can't find a Gut Health seller on the interwebs.
http://www.probiohealth.com/scientific_information_content.html
You can order it at the bottom of the page. You can get Lactobacillus in yogurt, but this KE-99 is a specific strain that is much more desirable.
THE BENEFITS OF KE-99
- KE-99 is the safest and most effective probiotic in the market today!
- Improves intestinal health and reduces symptoms including constipation, flatulence, and diarrhea.
- Strengthens immune system.
- Helps reduce serum cholesterol and prevents osteoporosis.
- Promotes better overall health and energy.
- Reverses the negative effects on the digestive tract of infections, antibiotics, alcohol, stress and poor diet.
- Our claims are backed up by real scientific data, and published results.
-
Very helpful in treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Colitis, Crohn’s Disease and Lactose Intolerance.
- Manufactured and packaged under controlled conditions to ensure highest quality and potency.
- Available in 2 different dosage forms: tablets and capsules.
The Lactobacillus Casei Strain
Lactobacillus is a bacterial strain that was isolated from humans and was found to have excellent tolerance for the acid conditions in the stomach. The Lactobacillus species is more effective than many other bacteria in surviving the passage through the gastrointestinal tract to effectively colonize the digestive tract and balance the intestinal microflora. Lactobacillus has been proven to resist gastric acid and bile, adhere to mucosa of human intestine, colonize the human gastrointestinal tract, and
fight against potential pathogens such as E.coli, streptococci, and clostridia and salmonella species.
Lactobacillus Casei strains of the Lactobacillus species are found naturally in fermented vegetables, milk, and meat, as well as in the intestine, the human mouth, and the environment. The name lactobacillus casei was first used in 1904, and the name suggests its close relationship to cheese: both casei and casein (the primary protein in milk) originate from the Latin word caseus, meaning cheese. As members of the genus Lactobacillus, lactobacillus casei are Gram-positive rod-shaped cells.
They differ from other lactobacilli in several ways. They are smaller in size than L. bulgaricus, lactobacillus acidophilus, and lactobacillus. helveticus, and are facultatively heterofermentative, and mesophilic. Because KE-99 is sub-species of lactobacillus casei, it is safe and has the ability to grow in the intestinal tract. L. casei has been used in many products around the world and is a well-known and documented species of lactobacillus that has proven probiotic effects. It is often included with other beneficial bacterium to re-establish balanced microflora in the intestinal tract after antibiotic therapy. It is generally considered safe and approved for use in food products.
Probiotic Qualities of KE-99
The lactobacillus casei sub-species, KE-99, was selected for its superior probiotic qualities. The primary effect of a probiotic is to reduce the likelihood of pathogenic organisms from establishing themselves and infecting the intestinal tract of a host. In order to accomplish this, the beneficial bacterium overwhelm the enteric sites to become the predominant bacterium present, and consume a significant portion of the nutrients which compromise or possibly eliminate the establishment and/or growth of any unwanted bacteria. (Competitive exclusion)
In laboratory tests, however, KE-99 has demonstrated the ability to actually remove already established pathogenic bacteria in vitro (example: enterohemorrhagic E. coli 0157:H7). These bacteria often enter the intestinal tract via consumption of contaminated food and/or drink.
This remarkable ability to reduce certain forms of pathogenic bacteria in vitro (currently being tested in vivo in swine) is one of the features that sets KE-99 apart as a superior probiotic.
A number of products on the market contain multiple bacterial strains. KE-99 was intentionally formulated with just one highly effective Lactobacillus casei KE-99 strain.
A hardy single strain such as KE-99 has been shown to be much more effective than multiple strains because of its superior ability to attach to enteric sites and establish itself while multi-strains compete with each other and are often merely evacuated.
The overall benefits of other strains of intestinal bacteria are well known, but they are meaningless unless they can actually attach to the intended site.
Superior Quality & Packaging
We have surveyed 20 different probiotic products that were tested for organism viability and compared the findings with the declared amount on the packaging (these studies were conducted at a public university in California). Most recommended refrigeration. This would mean while those products are transported or on retailers' shelves, the probiotic effect is being lost.
None of these products had even 1/10 of the number of organisms declared on the packaging. Products that deliver such a small number of live organisms can have little or no real health benefits.
KE-99 LACTO™ avoids this problem through its unique formulation, stringent controls through the manufacturing and packaging process and a more effective package.
KE-99 LACTO™ Capsule
The KE-99 LACTO™ Capsule is packaged in a double foil packet that does not need refrigeration. There are two capsules per packet, the recommended daily dose. Each capsule contains 5 billion live bacteria. Lactobacillus species loose their viability in the presence of heat, moisture, and oxygen. Because KE-99 is a more durable strain than many other lactobacillus species and because of its oxygen and moisture proof package, the long-term stability of the live organisms is protected. It is stable for 2 years when stored at room temperature. Many competitive products employ a single container which has to be opened and closed daily - exposing the other capsules or tablets to oxygen and causing them to loose potency over a short period of time.
KE-99 LACTO™ Tablet
KE-99 LACTO™ Tablet is packed in a plastic bottle similar to many competitors. However, our tablets are coated with a cellulose compound to protect them and ensure viability after the container has been opened. Each capsule contains 5 billion live bacteria and we recommend 2 tablets as daily dosage. KE-99 is a more durable strain than many other lactobacillus species and because of its oxygen and moisture proof package, the long-term stability of the live organisms is protected for 2 years when stored at room temperature (before opening the bottle). Once the bottle is opened, it should be refrigerated and is guaranteed stable for 1 year.

script was still sub-par as was much of the acting.
the attempts at humor are too forced and come off as akward (at best).

Wound up formatting the hard drive from another computer and installing Ubuntu 9.10.
Performed an upgrade to 10 and it went nuts. Also went nuts when I installed updates to 9.10.
Reformatted drive and I'm sticking with 9.10 which is fine for my needs.
That's actually a very good solution. I haven't messed with ubuntu since version 8.xx. The laptop I was running it on had one of the many factory defective video cards that they took a 100 million dollar charge against.
I also started school and had to run a real OS to get work done
j/k
Ubuntu is good for toys and non-poweruser s**t.

How Assholes are made:
http://chaosandpain.blogspot.com/
Like me, you appear to be of the opinion that it is better to hated than beloved. I could fill a book with stories about my efforts to retain my "Most Fucking Hated" title, which I wear proudly. Most recently, I found myself getting cockblocked by a fat chick at a bar, who I handed two bucks and told to her fat ass over to McDs for a couple of things off the dollar menu, as it appeared that her blood sugar was getting low, and she was being a c**t. The fat chick then pitched a fucking fit, and got me 86'd from yet another bar. Any stories of that ilk you feel like sharing?
I would definitely rather be hated than loved. It's way more fun. There are a small handful of people in this world whose opinions about me actually matter as far as I'm concerned. My wife and my kids. Anybody else can f**k right off. My mother never loved me and told me I was a mistake all the time growing up. She was right though, I was a mistake. People shouldn't keep babies like me. A lot of people cry about s**t like that but I never really cared. I figured it out pretty early and simply moved on. She had gotten herself pregnant and asked my dad if she should get an abortion. He told her to do what she thought was best so she went and got one. He must have seemed upset or something after because she deliberately got herself knocked up again immediately afterward to make it up to him. Well, I guess this must have really pissed him off and he apparently accused her of being batshit crazy which, if you ask me, she was. Anyway, their marriage broke up before I was even born and I am the living representation of that failure. I was also hated by most of my peers at school. It made me feel good after a while though. Sooner or later you realize that if hatred is what they want, hatred is what they can have. Being completely surrounded in hatred myself, I had nothing to lose as far as I was concerned so I became the biggest asshole I could possibly be and treated everyone like s**t. I started to learn about how fragile the human ego is, how easily a person can be hurt, and I exploited it as often as possible. By the time I was finished high school I was blacklisted from any and all house parties in the east end because everyone knew I'd walk into a house and destroy the whole place, literally just trash the place, without giving it a second thought. I'd smash the f**k out of kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms, start wrestling matches in the living room, steal s**t, hide people's shoes, anything to encourage general chaos. Nobody seemed to be able to figure it out, why I would do s**t like that. But the way I saw it, I was nobody before, just some piece of s**t to be shoved out of the way or pointed out to be laughed at. Now I was one of the most hated individuals in their lives. I could f**k them over constantly and there was nothing they could do about it because I literally didn't give a s**t about their feelings.
Some of the younger crowd would pool all their money together and give it all to me with a list of s**t they all wanted from the liquor store. I'd turf the list and just f**k off with their money every time. I got away with that one several times before they just stopped giving me money. The more hate I created, the more I wanted. It was never enough. I had to keep pushing the envelope further and further. To a certain extent I still do even though I have grown up some since those days. Now I'm content to just be an all around asshole.

so sorry! Dell Streak is AT&T only.
http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/07/dell-streak-priced-at-300-for-att/
After months of teasing, Dell’s 5-inch tablet-phone hybrid called the Streak finally has a price tag. The Streak will cost $300 with a two-year contract on AT&T. An unlocked version of the device will cost $550.
Dell is yet to announce exactly when the Streak will hit retail stores in the U.S. but it is accepting pre-sale orders from customers on its site. The device will initially be available in black with a red color variant introduced later this year, says Dell.
Dell launched the Streak in U.K. last month. The Streak is targeted at smartphone users who crave a larger display but still need a device that’s portable and could potentially replace their phone. The Streak has a 5-inch display, a 5-megapixel camera, phone, browser and access to Android apps. But it doesn’t exactly succeed in trying to be bigger than the phone but smaller than the iPad. (Read Wired.com’s review of the Dell Streak.)
A major drawback of the Streak is that it uses version 1.6 of the Android operating system, while most smartphones today run Android 2.1. Google has already released Android 2.2 Froyo and some devices such as the Nexus One have gotten the Froyo update.
The Streak seems woefully behind the times but Dell says a Froyo update is coming “later this year.”
In the U.S., AT&T haters won’t have a choice when it comes to choosing a wireless carrier for the device. Dell doesn’t plan to support T-Mobile’s 3G network or certify the Streak for operation on the T-Mobile network.

Ordered the 25/25 and the "middle" tier HDTV that comes with it this weekend. No contract @ $84.00 per month for the first 6 months then $94.00 after that.
The guy was pretty chummy. We had some of the same classes at VCU so he spoke pretty candidly. I said I was considering Xfinity as they have a 6 month promo for $19.99 (though I had no real intention to do this, just looking for a negotiating point) and the guy literally laughed at me. Then he said "That's a s**t service". We talked about how comcast caps their service at 250 gigs per household (as you've mentioned). He was also very curious to learn how coaxial signals travel faster than light somehow and
if
that was even possible their 100mpbs speeds would reach the 250 gig cap in 5 and a half hours.
He said the only possible reason comcast would ever even come close to approaching the same bandwidth speeds verizon offers is probably because there are only 40 or 50 comcast customers left and the fios speeds would still be better to "the tens of thousands of people who use verizon in Richmond". Obviously an overstatement but funny enough.
Although I may have gotten sold I felt like the dude was being pretty honest with me. I've been told to never ever bash competitors when on the job but he seemed to do a good job of it. Might be that comcast does sets up their own bashing and just leaves it for the competition to point it out.
He eventually hooked me up on waiving the install fees and the box fees but I felt like it was a pretty good experience.

That's the same service I upgraded too. My wife handles the bills, so I have no idea what we are paying. I know we ordered online and I think we're paying a grip in box fees. I think the HD Media DVR is 15/mo, the HD box is 11/mo, and the SD box in the kids room is 6/mo. The multi-room DVR function is nice, but you can't schedule recordings from the other boxes and you can't delete recordings from the other boxes. Still the remote viewing option is nice. I notice that my 6yo now has a list of programs that he schedules to record so he can watch them in his room later.
The speed is sick. I'm still not use to seeing 25megabit download speeds. I recently downloaded a 720p ppv event and it was showing on my bandwidth meter as coming in at 80megabits. I checked my utorrent client and it was showing a steady 8Mb on just that torrent. I went to the client list and realized that it was coming from the torrent server downstairs... hence the 90 second download time.
Supposedly you can also copy items that you've DVR'd off of your dvr box. You can also set up recordings via the intardnets. One advantage that xfinity/comcast has is they currently have iphone/android apps that allow you to schedule recordings. That's kind of fucking sweet. I'm sure verizon will have something similar in another year.
One thing I don't care for is all of the damn repetitive channels and the remote layouts. There is such a thing as too much HD. I mean, who has actual wealth and watches the "Wealth" channel?
