Reading comprehension my dear friend.  I received the tower 200 earlier in the week.  I  said it took about a month to arrive.  That would mean that I probably ordered it a month ago.  It isn't a difficult concept.  Try to keep up.  Wink

.....ok...just seems like you were trying to get thoughts BEFORE you ordered it

No problem, just busting your chops.

BTW, I have tried the additional DVD workouts.  There is the 11 minute workout plus an AB workout(haven't tried yet), a Bis and Tris workout(pretty good to supplement the 11 minute), a Chest and Shoulders workout(also pretty good to supplement the 11 minute), plus the "MMA" workout.  The MMA workout is some of the moves you see on the infomercial.  The additional workouts are 3 minutes long.  I tried all the workouts today, with just a little break in between(minus the AB) and I was worn out.  I started with the heavier bands but had to switch to the light bands or I would never have finished the workouts.  All told, twenty minutes, and in my opinion, a good challenging, workout.

I made a recent purchase of the Tower 200. I'm scheduled for 3700 hours of work per year and it looked like a quick way to keep things touched up. Being a former 4 sport athlete and considering myself in pretty good shape. Boy was I wrong. This is the best gimmick, so to speak that I have ever purchased. The first day of the 11 minutes workout, I knew there would be results and felt how out of shape I was. After two weeks, I have seen inches come off and tightness show up exactly where I wanted. I haven't had a chance to get past the 11 minute workout yet and won't bother until it becomes easy on the more resistanct cord. I was amazingly suprised as the immediate muscle burn I felt after the first workout, and how worn out I was. Definatelly what I needed. Quick convenient and effective, with more options if You want them.

So many angry posts! I'm 45 work many hours and am divorced and a single father of a 13 year old. In my 20's, yes I was a gym rat and benched 340 at 6'3" and 240. All those years of heavy lifting damaged my joints to the point I tore my rotator cuff last year and had surgery on it.

Most of these posting seems like they're by 20 somethings that have no wives, kids or a life outside the gym. What's so bad about a system you consider inferior because it won't make you look like a 'roided out freak? Hey, wait until you're 40 something and have a real job and have limited time for anything else! This is better than no workout at all!

I don't think I pissed off a lot of people.  If you read the thread you would have seen that I asked a question about a product and some posters, only one or two, responded in a less than professional way.  I responded and defended myself.  It was a simple question and would have only required a simple answer, if any.

As far as this board goes, I primarily read the main forum(usually daily) but rarely post there because I have less than a year in BJJ and am not at the point where I could contribute to the forum.

Hey guys, I found this post while looking for a review on the tower 200. I used to go to the gym a lot and loved it- unfortunately I don't have access to a gym anymore. Not to mention the money. 6 years ago I was still going to Gold's everyday, had a trainer, worked my job and loved it. I met a woman ( now my wife ) and thought I could still drive 45 mins to the gym in the morning, be to work by eight and driver to her house after I got out of work ( at 8 ) . Not long after that I fell asleep at the wheel...thank God no one got hurt.
I have been in the same mindset as most of you about anything i see on tv- the only product that my last martial arts instructor ever would endorse was a bowflex.

Sorry for the long post - but here is the question:

Does anyone thing this contraption will get me back from being 26 years old, 5'9 and 270 lbs that is about to need blood pressure and cholesterol meds better than an exercise bike or some other form of cardio? I can hardle bench the bar because of a shoulder elbow injury and I have two knees that need to be replaced.  I do have an incredible amount of determination and a 2 year old son that more motivation that I could have ever imagined.

As an fyi- diet has been changed- I just need to figure out how to exercise . :-D

    Thanks a million,

As a 34 year old 5'9 3/4 and previousl 277lb guy, I can tell you that the first thing is diet, the second thing is getting back in the gym.  I've gut 25lbs in 3 weeks with no carbs, heavy lifting, and very little cardio.  I train between 5am and 7am and still have the rest of the day for work, school, and family.  One common fault of training at home is lack of motivation and distractions.  When you go to the gym, it is for a single purpose and there is motivation everywhere.

i just ordered this excersize machine and i think its a great work out machine whether or not your a busy person.. the wieght goes up to 100 pounds per side of body 200 pounds if your doing something like squats. i doubt anyone one who replyed to this forum can curl or shoulder press 100 pounds per arm so people saying its stupid or sayin someone should just go to the gym is a "ra-tard". this machine is good for a great work out... though it does have an 11 minute work out DVD doesnt mean your work outs have to be only 11 minutes, the machine doesnt give up after 11 minutes nor do you have to. so hopefully this is what you were looking for but yes in my opinion its a great machine for a home gym because 1: it can hit all body parts 2: its light and easy to store or just keep it on your door 3: you can get a good work out with just 11 minutes a day but i recomennd a longer work out
