I just purchased a bunch of MMA gear and it was such a great experience that I got to give the website some props. The website was very professional and easy to use, and I received my order real fast by mail. They had a great selection of MMA gear and apparel and their prices are awesome.

Although probably not the most artful move...
Is it legal in tourney BJJ, if when your opponent mounts you to place your toe into the back of your opponents belt and basically pull him off?

A student from another school said this was commonplace there, and I have been using it with a pretty high success rate...but everytime I do, it is immediately followed by a discussion of whether its legal.

Stupid question, I know.  But I would appreciate any info about this.

This also seems like a good way to dislocate your toes, no?

works great on people with horrible mount pressure. other wise it doesn't really work great on higher level people. and it's great way to get injured. and not legal in cbjj though some smaller tournies might allow it.

if you insist on using retard moves i suggest sticking your feet in the armpits. much higher percentage (though still flawed with higher belts) and it works nogi and is legal.

Agreed on the low success rate. However there is a legal move that you can do of a similar nature from mount and 1/2 guard but it involes putting your put on thier lapel. This one also is fun for show but doesnt have much ""go" in competition. ha

I use a toe in the belt escape from north south pretty frequently. I learned it from comprido and it works well.
