    Great tourney, guys!

I'd like to congratulate my friend, longtime training partner, and student Trey Martin for gutting out a fantastic performance in the team challenge.  He's an old bg o' bones, but a tough bag o' bones, and an inspiration to us younger guys.   Wink

I'd also like to congratulate Val for an awesome performance.  She kicked ass!

I wish I could have watched more matches! Trey is a tough old bastard for sure! Even w/the knee injury, he kept forging on. I saw Val kicking ass in her cool shorts w/the purple belt on them.

    K. Lutz, Kirby Farrales, Rob Mudrak, and Noah Spear from NJMA all fought hard, too. Extra special congrats to my old buddy Noah Spear who started training way back in the dark ages at Maxercise and is now a black belt. He lost second round to BJJ United's Ken Berger (a great up and comer) in the Team Challenge after subbing his first guy via flying triangle, and then came back and won the heavyweight advanced division.

It was an honor to have Noah back in action at our tournament.
